Artist in Residence: Monja Gentschow
In the summer of 2024, Berlin-based artist Monja Gentschow spent a week as Artist in Residence at Villa Arnica. Surrounded by beautiful nature, Monja found the perfect place to further develop her artistic work. The villa, with its atmosphere of calm, reflection and natural beauty, became her main source of inspiration.
Here she created a series of drawings that capture the essence of Villa Arnica with delicate lines, soft colours and an almost poetic touch. The drawings not only reflect the visual impressions of the property, but also the emotional connection that Monja has established with the place. The mix of light-flooded rooms, charming architectural details and surrounding nature is translated by her into a visual language that makes the atmosphere palpable.
